Harry Byerly, COO

As Chief Operating Officer, Harry Byerly helms the payroll, benefits, and administration operations at HiHR — if it involves our customers, Harry is dedicated to and involved with insuring the highest level of service. A senior-level executive and a member of the HIHR management team, Harry brings more than thirteen years of management, recruitment, marketing, and customer service experience. Wayne Tomita, Chief Financial Officer

Wayne brings almost 25 years of experience in business administration and financial management to the team at HiHR. A CPA and University of Hawaii graduate with a stellar GPA in both his Masters in Accounting and a Business Administration degrees, Wayne’s experience with Hawaiian companies — including Hawaiian Airlines, Palama Ventures, Island Title Corporation, and Hawaiian Hotels & Resorts — makes him an indispensible addition to HiHR. Wayne enjoys golfing, softball, and basketball, and spends a lot of time with his daughter and her soccer activities.

Fred Li, Chief Systems Officer

Fred’s impressive résumé stretches back more than thirty years and includes a five-year stint as business manager for Iolani School, financial administration for a number of tech startups and family-focused non-profits in Hawaii, and technology directorship and financial administration at Marc Resorts Hawaii and Saint Francis School, not to mention having been named one of Hawaii’s Top 100 Hi-Tech Leaders in 2001. With a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, Fred’s enterprise acumen is matched by his knowledge of technology, and as such he is an indispensable addition to the HiHR team. He’s also a wonderful musician!

David Jones, Director of Human Resources

With more than twenty years experience in human resources administration at a number of hotels and companies on Oahu and Maui, David brings a history of building, developing, and sustaining successful HR departments to the team at Hawaii Human Resources. His commitment to the company and a well-developed staff is readily evident in our internal success and the efficient solutions we provide for all of our customers.

Bernie Delos Santos — Director of Operations & Human Resources (Maui)

As manager of HiHR’s Maui office, Bernie brings her depth of experience and the award-winning service that HiHR is known for to all of our clientele in Kahului, Wailuku, and all points in between. Bernie and the Maui staff are dedicated to providing top-notch service to Hawaii companies throughout the islands and the community they support. With an HR career stretching back fifteen years and experience in fields as diverse as realty, wedding planning, travel, and employment, Bernie’s background in directing and managing HR companies throughout the Hawaiian islands is an invaluable to HiHR and all of our clients.
