The Hawaii Group Expands to Maui and Mainland

The Hawaii Group (HiGroup) continues its rapid growth with an expansion to Maui and the mainland in an ongoing effort to assist small and medium-sized businesses with human resource administration, payroll, health benefits, insurance, accounting, staffing, and marketing. Several entities within The Hawaii Group — Hawaii Human Resources (HiHR), Hawaii Accounting (HiAccounting), and Hawaii Employment (HiEmployment) — now serve clients and client employees on all islands and many states outside of Hawaii, including California, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Georgia, Vermont, Idaho, Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New York, and New Jersey.

In yet another testament to HiHR’s escalation, Delaney, Meichtry and their team welcomed their 210th business client this week, bringing the total number of employees receiving their services to 3,000 a little more than two years after opening their doors.

Most recently, she served as the private secretary to the deputy superintendent at the Department of Education after working for three years as the executive assistant to the President and CEO of the Hawaii Superferry, Inc.

But her noteworthy skills were not the only reason Delaney wanted her to join the team. “I interviewed half a dozen very capable and qualified candidates, and I kept coming back to Gina,” said Delaney, who has endured cancer as well. “I feel a bond with her and appreciate that we are able to talk about our past battles with cancer in an effort to educate people about early detection and prevention.”
